You take $0.62 a mile because the load ships in 40 minutes. On Friday you find out fuel and fixed cost ate all of it.
The math nobody shows you in week one
01
It is not the load price that makes the week, it is the odds of getting out of where you delivered. Red states pay cheap because nobody wants to be there.
02
Brokers post loads at awkward hours to catch you on price. If you know the flow of the area, you do not chase the first number.
03
Without cost per mile in hand, any rate looks fine. That is how the week closes red with a full van.
If you want more than the map
From zero to your first load, with a link at every stage — no filler, no 20-hour course.
You find your number: the minimum rate that closes the week in the black.
The path and the calculator. It is what I would send a friend who is buying the van this week.
Separately $45 · In the kit, $39
Before you buy
Yes. The e-book starts before the van: company, authority, insurance and what to check on the vehicle. If you already run, the value is in the quoting and broker sections.
No. Reading is online, view-only, watermarked — that is how the price stays low and the copy does not end up in a WhatsApp group.
The spreadsheet is an .xlsx download, in the language you pick at the top. Works in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets.
No. Both are free and stay free. If you download the PNG or PDF, I only ask for name and email so I can tell you when the update drops.
Credit or debit card through Stripe, one-time payment, right here on the site. No subscription, no recurring charge.
No. The market is in a down cycle and the map shows that without dressing it up. What changes is that you stop guessing at rates.
Open the map, check the grade of the state you are in and the playbook for that level. If it makes sense, the e-book takes you the rest of the way.

Use this map as a reference, not as absolute truth: terrible areas can pay above the rule and excellent areas can pay below it. It all depends on the load flow that day!
Never plan to leave a terrible area on a Friday — the odds of sitting all weekend are high.
It is cheaper to deadhead out of a terrible area into a bad one than to sit and wait for luck.
Only run into terrible areas if it closes your weekly goal, leaving margin to move empty to a better area after delivery.
Partial loads are forbidden: high fines and losing good customers can wipe out everything.
Charge the right rate. Do not try to get rich on one load, but do not panic either: learn the timing game. Brokers work on your head by posting loads at awkward hours to catch you on price.
If you do not trust your vehicle, stay out of terrible areas.
Friday afternoon everyone is desperate and your odds drop.
Monday in a terrible area is a rate war. If you came in cheap, you will have to leave cheap — and the math does not work.
There is no hiding that the market is in a down cycle: know your costs to the cent, ideally in a spreadsheet.
TWIC + TSA
With a TWIC card or TSA approval your options improve in strategic areas with heavy commercial air freight. Get both if you can.

Expedited Hub is operated by a legal entity registered in the United States. The founder chooses not to be publicly identified: what holds the site up is whether the content is useful, not the name behind it. Payments, invoices and tax obligations run through that entity and through the payment platforms, which require real identification.
The content here is lived experience and educational material. It is not legal, accounting, tax, immigration or insurance advice. The freight flow map is an operating reference built from road experience — it does not guarantee rates, load volume or financial results. Decisions about your operation are yours.
The mechanics list, the useful links and any professional referral are a directory. We do not employ, certify, supervise or guarantee anyone listed. Check license, insurance and reputation before hiring. If a contact is wrong or a service has changed, tell us and we will correct it.
To download the map PNG or the list PDF we ask for your name and email. We use it to tell you about updates and to send hub material — nothing else. We do not sell your data. You can leave any time through the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us. We use no tracking cookies and no third-party ad network; the only data kept in your browser is your signup and your language preference.
Sponsorship slots are paid and always labeled "Sponsored". We may earn a referral commission on some tools — when that happens it is stated on the page. Payment never changes a state grade on the map or a shop’s position in the list.
E-book, spreadsheet and kit are digital products sold directly by Expedited Hub. Payment is processed by Stripe — no card data passes through or is stored on this site. Delivery is immediate: once payment clears you receive your access link by email. The e-book is online reading with no download; the spreadsheet is an .xlsx file. Refunds: we return 100% of the price within 7 days of purchase, on request to hello@expeditedhub.co — no reason needed, no argument. Sharing or reselling purchased material is not permitted.
Questions, corrections, data removal or an advertising proposal: write to hello@expeditedhub.co. I answer as soon as I can.
Who we are
I decided to publish what I learned over years living this world. I do not need to say who I am, but I can say every product here came from real experience: almost 1,000 loads delivered.
I started from zero. I lived great moments and very hard ones — in the end, I am alive to tell it. That is what you find here: what works, what hurts and what I would do differently.
If you want to email a question, go ahead. I answer as soon as I can.
